To achieve the matte appearance of thermoset rubber surfaces, a rougher mold surface is required. Generally speaking, the rough surface produced after electrical discharge machining (EDM) of the mold cavity will result in excellent workpiece appearance and make demolding relatively easy. Grinding methods such as steam blasting, sandblasting, shot blasting, as well as chemical etching, can also be used to create surfaces with different gloss and appearance.

Olefin-based transparent TPE has good weather resistance and ozone resistance, so it is called the fastest-growing variety of TPE. It is mainly used as the primary rubber material in fields such as automobiles and home appliances.

Wristband material TPE customization

Common products include handles, grips, electronic materials, etc. The material gives the products a comfortable touch, enhances grip, improves product appearance, and increases added value.


TPE overmolding, as the name implies, is the process of overmolding TPE soft material onto other materials.

The thickness of the TPE/TPR overmolding layer. In most overmolding applications, a wall thickness range of 1.5-3.0mm can ensure good bonding. If the TPE layer is too thin, injection molding becomes difficult, bonding strength is low, and the hand feel is poor. If the TPE layer is too thick, on one hand, the cost is higher; on the other hand, defects such as shrinkage and bubbles are prone to occur.

Common processing methods include one-step molding with a two-color injection molding machine, or using a regular injection molding machine with an overmolding mold for two-step injection molding. TPE overmolded products are generally handles, grips, and similar items. TPE soft material has a special comfortable touch; the introduction of TPE material improves the grip and tactile feel of the products.

The transparent grade is divided into transparent and translucent series, each with multiple hardness levels; excellent transparency; smooth and soft surface; good anti-yellowing performance, tear resistance, and good tensile strength; meets environmental requirements; suitable for various transparent series products.

TPE is a classic aggregation-induced emission molecule; that is, it has no fluorescence in solution but has strong fluorescence in solid state. Therefore, transparent TPE materials also have important applications in fields such as organic optoelectronics.

First, preheat and bake the nylon part because nylon has strong water absorption and overmolding requires a high molding temperature. Preheating before overmolding can remove moisture and facilitate quick hot overmolding.
