Due to the high light transmittance required for TPE transparent materials, the surface quality of the material products must be strictly controlled, without any defects such as streaks, pores, whitening, halo, black spots, discoloration, or poor gloss. Therefore, throughout the entire injection molding process, strict and even special requirements must be paid attention to for TPE raw materials, equipment, molds, and even product design.

Transparent TPE is specifically a thermoplastic elastomer, while TPR is translated from English and strictly speaking is called thermoplastic rubber. This is the most basic difference. TPE is generally formed by modifying the basic material SEBS, while TPR is modified from the basic material SBS.
