TPE elastomer soft gel is used for secondary injection molding and overmolding.

The wall thickness of the TPE glue position should be as uniform as possible to achieve the best molding cycle. The transition between different wall thicknesses should be gradual to reduce fluid flow problems, such as air marks and bubbles.

The thickness of the TPE and TPR overmolding layer. In most overmolding applications, a wall thickness range of 1.5-3.0mm will ensure good bonding. If the TPE layer is too thin, injection molding is difficult, bonding strength is low, and hand feel is poor. If the TPE layer is too thick, on the one hand the cost is higher, and on the other hand it is prone to defects such as shrinkage and bubbles.

Because TPE material has good anti-slip properties and excellent elastic touch, it can improve the touch feel of products and enhance grip.

SEBS is the product after hydrogenation of SBS. SEBS has a saturated molecular structure, which leads to very different characteristics. It has the necessary aging resistance, yellowing resistance, and other traits required to produce transparent TPE, and also contributes to excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance. This is how transparent TPE is made.

To prevent contamination of TPE raw materials and the presence of old materials or impurities in the recesses of the screw and accessories, especially materials with poor thermal stability, the screw cleaning agent should be used to clean all parts before use and after shutdown to ensure no impurities adhere.

TPE overmolding with fabric is mainly used for luggage products, and like metal overmolding, it is generally false overmolding. True overmolding is more common in secondary injection molding and two-color injection molding, where the main material for TPE overmolding is plastic.

Diene transparent TPE. Diene TPE is mainly an isomer of natural rubber, so it is also called thermoplastic trans-natural rubber. Although its heat resistance and mechanical strength are not as good as rubber, due to its good transparency, weather resistance, electrical insulation, and photodegradability, it is widely used in shoemaking, sponge, optical film, and other industrial rubber products.

Through skin safety and non-sensitization tests, it meets the characteristics that silicone cannot meet, making the appearance more high-end and refined.
