The thickness of TPE, TPR overmolding layer. In most overmolding applications, a wall thickness range of 1.5-3.0mm ensures good adhesion. If the TPE layer is too thin, injection molding becomes difficult, adhesion strength is low, and hand feel is poor. If the TPE layer is too thick, on one hand cost is higher, on the other hand defects such as shrinkage and bubbles are prone to occur.

Olefin transparent TPE has good weather resistance and ozone resistance, so it is called the fastest developing variety among TPEs. It mainly becomes the main rubber material in fields such as automobiles and home appliances.

Secondary molding TPR

Because TPE material has good anti-slip properties and excellent elastic touch, it can improve the touch feel of products and enhance grip.


TPE overmolding, as the name implies, is to overmold TPE soft rubber material onto other materials.

TPE high-transparency material is applied in different aspects with different product properties. Thermoplastic elastomer is also called TPE material. Transparent TPE not only has the processing properties of thermoplastic plastics, but also has the physical properties of vulcanized rubber. This is the so-called advantageous combination of plastics and rubber. Transparent TPE is widely used in people's life and production.

Transparent TPE is used in stationery, sports equipment, etc. It has good UV resistance, chemical resistance, and is easy to color and process.

Secondary molding TPR

Common processing methods include one-shot molding with a two-color injection molding machine, or using a general injection molding machine with an overmold mold, performing secondary injection molding. TPE overmolded products are generally handles, hand grips, and similar items. TPE soft rubber material has a special comfortable touch. The introduction of TPE material enhances the grip and touch feel of the products.

Diene transparent TPE, diene TPE is mainly an isomer of natural rubber, so it is also called thermoplastic trans-natural rubber. Although its heat resistance and mechanical strength are not as good as rubber, due to its good transparency, weather resistance, electrical insulation, and photodegradability, it is widely used in shoemaking, sponge, optical film, and other industrial rubber products.

Transparent grade is divided into transparent and semi-transparent series, each with various softness and hardness; excellent transparency; smooth and soft surface; good anti-yellowing performance, tear resistance, good tensile strength; meets environmental requirements; suitable for various transparent series products.

Secondary molding TPR

Mold temperature can be appropriately raised to 70°C, which is beneficial to bonding and also gives a more glossy overmolded surface.
