PAHS Certification

To uphold the bottom line of environmental compliance, practice green production concepts, and ensure product safety, the company has completed PAHS (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) environmental testing and certification for its full range of TPE, TPR, TPV, TPV-SiR, TPU, and TPEE elastomer products. This is done in strict accordance with international and industry standards such as EU REACH Annex XVII and German GS certification (AfPS GS 2019:01). The certification comprehensively covers the screening of 18 high-risk PAHS substances, with test results meeting global mainstream compliance limit requirements. The company has successfully passed testing by authoritative institutions and obtained certification reports, effectively fulfilling its corporate environmental responsibilities and product safety commitments.

PAHS, as harmful organic compounds with strong carcinogenicity and environmental persistence, are often generated through incomplete combustion or high-temperature pyrolysis. They can easily be introduced into elastomer materials during processing through raw materials like plasticizers and carbon black, making them a key focus of global environmental control. This PAHS certification testing combines the characteristics of elastomer materials, employing pretreatment processes such as Soxhlet extraction and silica gel-Florisil column purification, paired with precise detection via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). It comprehensively screens various PAHS substances like naphthalene and benzopyrene, ensuring that products do not harm human health or the natural environment throughout their entire lifecycle—from production and use to disposal—thereby achieving dual improvements in environmental compliance and product quality.

The successful passing of the PAHS environmental certification not only proves that the company's elastomer products fully meet the entry requirements of major global markets such as the EU and Germany, effectively avoiding risks like customs inspections, customer factory audits, and non-compliance penalties, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations.
